We are a bit different to the majority of other Explorer Units across the Country in the fact that it we have chosen to specialise itself as a Mountain Activity Unit – meaning our main focus is to offer outdoor mountaineering experiences and teach the necessary skills required in this area.

We are registered within St Helens District, Merseyside – however our online structure means that we attract members from surrounding areas as well. Camps, walks and activities are mostly planned online, with the occasional planning meeting every 6-8 weeks or so, and one social activity every 2-3 weeks.

The Explorers are responsible for planning their own programme and deciding which activities they would like to do, and are backed by a dedicated, enthusiastic and varied leadership team including qualified Mountain Leaders and First Aid trainers.
